Sorry for going off topic a little there. The copyright law (with regard to media) in the UK certainly doesn't fit into todays digital world. Click the 'History' button and you can see all the. It may take some time if you select multiple iTunes movies to convert. My hope is that, whatever form this overhaul takes, it will become legal to re-incode any purchased media (including DVDs) for your personal use. After you adjust all the settings, click on 'Convert' on the menu bar, and after several minutes, you can have your iTunes M4V video as an MP4 file without DRM protection. This is particularly pertaining to CDs and I suppose "Fair use" will come into play, however the current law is that it is not legal to copy or otherwise re-encode purchased music, which actually means anybody even ripping a CD is breaking the law (as unlikely as it is that anybody will be prosicuted for it). To change the size and quality of the output file click the 'Settings' button. Choose the audio and video formats and enter the path to the output file. Add the DRM protected files you want to convert by clicking 'Add'. This is a fair point, from what I've read recently along side some of the "3-strikes-and-out" ISP discussions going through the commons (I think its the commons) there is a recomended overhaul of the copyrighting system. See the support/forums section of the software package for more specific information.

In the uk we have no fair use rights when it comes to CD's etc and I expect the lack of this right means it cant be legal? I dont think its legal tbh, it certainly is not in the USA (for US readers) but I am not 100% about the state in the uk.
